Hygiene + Health

Hygiene and health before anything and everything.
All of us ladies here hold our life dearly to all our skin care products, make up and in summary, beauty itself. But first, to look good is to feel good and to feel good means it's important for us to be cautious of what we consume and put on our body. What's good for our body will radiate through and makes us feel good about ourselves!
For instance let's start with something small and insignificant yet it has so much importance. Like a deodorant! A hygiene product that we use on a daily basis. It something that our life depends on, hmm, or maybe it's just me. I can't leave the house nor being around my husband without gliding it on my pits. Self conscious much? Nope, to me it's a social responsibility - please smell decent in public and say no to body odour.

For something that I have on daily, I am not bothered to check it's content and proceed with my purchase. All I had in mind was to smell good and that's all. One day was chatting with a friend, and we strike a conversation about how some deodorants content that can be harmful to our bodies - damage to our internal organs, breast cancer, birth defects, prostate cancer and many more. Well, obviously my heart stop for a bit and so many scary things ran through my mind.

What are the toxic ingredients that is hiding in your deodorant! :

1. Aluminium - linked to breast cancer in women, prostrate cancer and an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease.
2. Parabens - Disrupt our delicate hormonal balance, which can lead to things like early puberty in children and an increased risk of hormonal cancer. Linked to birth defects and organ toxcity.
3. Propylene glycol - can caused damage to the central nervous system, liver and heart.
4. Phthalates - linked to a higher risk of birth defects. May disrupt hormone receptors, increase the likelihood of cell mutation.
5. Triclosan - Classified as a pesticide by the FDA. Classified as a probable carcinogen by the EPA.

Now, go ahead start checking the ingredients of your current deodorant! You'll be surprised what they have in store for you.

Right away I trashed all my deodorants and Fattah's! Cos they contain so much toxics! Quickly got on my computer and I went searching for an organic deodorant online, one that is all natural deodorant. After a couple of days, so happened that I received an email from MOOI, a local brand from Singapore. That sells the deodorant that I have always wanted. So we schedule a meeting because I really wanted to know more about their all natural products. They were so kind and sincere to explain their products to me and also so well versed. They definitely know what they were doing which was amazing! I love how passionate they are in creating the skin care products with only the finest ingredients and also alcohol free! They emphasize the importance that firstly to look good is always to feel good and I totally agree! So all their products 100% natural ingredients and they only used the best unrefined ingredients. So say good bye to all the yucky ingredients that's bad for your body!

Subhanallah, Allah swt is indeed the greatest planner of all. The first product that I told them I cannot wait to start trying out is their deodorant cream! I have been searching for one for the longest time ever and one that my husband can also enjoy the goodness of the all natural deodorant and what more! It has essential oils in them, Geranium, Orange and Tea Tree.

The deodorant cream packaging is slightly smaller than a palm size so it's very compact and you can simply store it in your bag and travel with!

MOOI provides a little scooper if you feel uneasy using your fingers directly on it. Anyway it's hygienic this way too! :)

A pea size works for me but if you feel you need a little more, go ahead!

I would like to demonstrate on my pits but astragfiruallah, I can't. It's my aurat! lol.
So here's a demonstration on my hand instead! Initially it feels a little oily and creamy, something unusual but you'll get use to it, like me!

It has a zesty scent and totally unisex. Your husband and yourself can totally enjoy it! Fattah loves it so much, i'm not kidding at all.

It's been almost 2 weeks now that Fattah and I have been using the deodorant on a daily basis. I must say, really life changing. It's way easier to wash it off when I take a bath compared to the usual one over at the drug store that contains so much toxic! I heard for some people, the product helps to generate new cells and lightens up the dark spots on their pits. Well, it really depends on your body. Most importantly I can feel that my pits can breathe! It makes me happy and Fattah too! I am so glad that I managed to convince him to stop with his spray on deodorant and hop on with me! He said he has no regrets at all. I know darling, always trust your wife for what's good for you! xx

To happy pits yay!

Do take note,
If you have a pre existing health condition, pregnant, or breastfeeding, it is always best to seek your doctor's advice before using any products containing essential oils. Even more if you are new to essential oils, it's very important to seek advice first and do a little research would'nt hurt! xx

With love,
